Red Dot challange

Women face a number of problems due to lack of hygiene during Menstruation.  Sometimes it leads to death. With this in mind, UNICEF is working on an innovative initiative to educate women  on this issue. That's the Red Dot Challenge. On the occasion of the International Monthly Hygiene Day, on May 28, a campaign on monthly hygiene was launched with actors, models and activists on social media.

According to UNICEF statistics, more than 200 billion girls and women worldwide suffer from general hygiene or poor health. In some undeveloped countries, only 27 percent of people have the ability to wash their hands with soap and water at home. Women and girls face many challenges for hygiene during the menstruation. lack of proper sanitation in school toilets is also a curse tonthe women. Many girls do not want to go to school during menstruation.  It is surprising that Menstruation is one of the main cause of  dropouts of  girls  in many schools throughout the World.

'Red Dot Challenge' is a program created by UNICEF's India section to promote awareness and educate girls and women on menstruation issues. As part of this, celebrities who can influence people through the media have to put a big red dot on their palm and post that photo on social media and share their thoughts and ideas.  Accordingly, celebrities have launched campaigns a week before the International Monthly Hygiene Day. I don't understand why Periods are such a bother I was able to learn more about my body on lockdown. I want to love myself more while relaxing and hydrating the body. These are the opinions that the celebraties expressed.

Periods are a natural process. There is no shaming. Women are not involved in this awareness program. Gone are the days of fear and shame, as in the past, about the spontaneous monthly cycle of girls. This is the occasion of the International Monthly Hygiene Day. This challenge is already going viral on social media. So women and girls in all parts of India should aware of it for hyzenic better life.
